Enjoyed the lovely pool area, but the beach was disappointingly shallow with seaweed. reception closed at 8 PM, limiting evening activities.

The Grand Sea Resort had some enjoyable aspects during my stay. The beachside bungalows were large, clean, and very comfortable. I appreciated the nice pool area, perfect for lounging under the sun. Staff members were genuinely pleasant and helpful, especially the guy who drove us into town. It provided a quick escape to explore local shops. the beach was disappointing. You needed to walk out at least 300 meters to reach water above your knees, which diminished my time spent swimming. The restaurant, while acceptable, didn’t impress me. I had concerns during an elephant safari arranged on the island. it felt exploitative, and I wouldn't recommend participating in that activity. while it was a pleasant stay, I might choose to explore other accommodations next time in Ko Phangan.

The pools were super nice! 😍 Room was basic but cozy enough, and the staff were super helpful. Just wish the wifi was more reliable. Still, had a great time overall!

Nice selection of foods in the restaurant. Spacious and clean rooms with large bathrooms and verandahs.
Beach was only calf-deep with slimy seaweed and not suitable for swimming. Reception closed at 8pm, limiting evening activity options. Thin window coverings provided little privacy and allowed morning light to stream in, while noise from nearby staff areas disrupted sleep.

The pools were lovely but a bit murky.

The beachside bungalows are sizable and quite cozy, providing the perfect spot for relaxation with a lovely pool area that offers beautiful views. Despite any shortcomings, the overall ambiance and design are appealing, making it a decent getaway.
The location is quite remote, a solid 20-minute drive to the vibrant action of Haad Rin, so plan your nights carefully. The rooms, while clean, have some quirks like being locked with just a padlock, which didn’t feel super secure. trying to enjoy the beach might leave you disappointed since the water was only knee-deep at best, with a fair bit of seaweed mucking up the experience.

Family with children should consider it
We found the location absolutely fantastic, just a short walk from the pier and nearby markets. The pools were nice, especially the one by the sea, though a bit murky at times.
It wasn't exactly cheap! but for the experience we had, I’d say it was acceptable.
